FIVE PEAKS

River View

Located on the banks of Moscow river, the project faces the current commercial district of Moscow, highlighted by its towering skyscrapers and aiming to become its doppelganger on the other side of the river. 5 Peaks is a standard for human intervention on a machine-generated process. The towers feature an array of office spaces, a hotel, and residential space. The base is connected by a linear shopping center, merging into the ground landscape and surroundings.

The towers themselves were algorithmically generated based on environmental parameters. Including city view and daylight favorability, while simultaneously responding to the topology of each other. The height, location, and orientation were the three universal parameters altered by the script as a primary layer. Further, down the code, the façade has been optimized with several typologies of openings, each with its own visual and light permeability. The typologies were distributed algorithmically for better overall building performance.

The five peaks, stretching their silhouette and distorting their tops, exposing the roofs as illuminated beacons of light, further highlight the slender profile of the towers within the city skyline. The uniqueness lies in the design of a homogenous family of towers, similar in style yet featuring subtle changes on top that highlight their social tension and dynamic.
